IdentAlloy/IdentCeram Council Certifying New Material

The IdentAlloy/IdentCeram Council has introduced a new category for restorative material certification in response to the release of a new, high-strength glass ceramic material made from zirconia-reinforced lithium silicate (ZLS).

The Council’s new ZLS certificates will be available at no charge to labs and dentists using DENTSPLY Celtra™ Duo material for restorations. The ZLS certificate is the seventh offered by the Council for ceramics, joining the five available for alloys. Suppliers provide the certificates to labs along with material shipments. Labs in turn, provide them to dentists to document the material content and ADA composition of individual cases.

“By certifying products made from innovative materials like ZLS, the IdentAlloy/IdentCeram program helps suppliers, labs and dentists accelerate our industry’s technological advances,” according to Chuck Yenkner, Executive Director of the IdentAlloy/IdentCeram Council.
